In response to the increasing global demands from European, North and South American and Asian customers, the companies of the Crankshaft Business Group are working together even more closely on an international basis.
Following the launch in April 2006 of various programs of measures in the forging process (including toolmaking), machining process and purchasing areas by the managing directors and executives of the operating group, initial conclusions were drawn at a second workshop in Homburg. The results are impressive: significant progress has already been made. The basis for this improved, coordinated cooperation is a joint, or rather identical, data basis and data structure. International best practice teams are driving forward the exchange of knowledge within the group so that solutions to problems are found much more quickly.
But this is no reason to rest on our laurels: further significant improvements are also on the agenda in the form of joint SPEED projects and a project on the harmonization of the SAP landscape.
